Children at Larkfield should develop an interest and curiosity in learning another language in a way that is enjoyable and stimulating, resulting in the acquisition of knowledge and skills preparing them for global citizenship. 

Children explore the cultural capital of Spain through its language and traditions which develops their awareness of cultural differences. 

Children are encouraged to build their confidence in communicating in Spanish, embedding the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing enabling them to apply their Spanish learning in a variety of contexts, laying the foundations for future language learning.
