RE [religious education]

The aim of our Religious Education curriculum is to explore big questions about life, in order to find out what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live, so that pupils can make sense of religion and worldviews, and reflect on their own ideas and ways of living. Our curriculum is planned from Sefton's agreed local syllabus.

As a community primary school with no religious foundation, it is important to provide our children with a level of understanding of a range of faiths and traditions so they are able to make sense of what they encounter in the wider world and to have respect for the beliefs and views of others. We do not present any religion as being right or wrong, nor do we actively promote any doctrine.
